Jerry Williams

Williams is the CIO for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. He has been in this role since this past summer. Before entering this position, Williams was the CIO for the U.S. Department of the Interior. Before CIO for the Department of the Interior, Williams held the position of Director of Financial Management for the Director of National Intelligence.

Additionally, in his career, Williams has worked in several other departments in the federal sector. He was the acting CIO and deputy CIO for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, as well as the acting CIO for the U.S. Small Business Administration. He was the former Chief of the Federal Financial Management Systems Branch at the Office of Management and Budget.

Williams began his career at the Department of Defense. He has been in the federal sector for over 20 years. He is a graduate of Troy University and Cheyney University, where he earned a degree in Accounting and Public Administration. Additionally, Williams earned a professional certification in financial management.
