H. Giovanni Carnaroli serves as associate chief information officer for IT policy oversight at the Department of Transportation. He is responsible for leading a team in all areas of IT policy, investment management, Enterprise Architecture, and governance. He previously was program director for the IT Project and Portfolio Services in the FAA Office of the CIO. In this position, Carnaroli was responsible for all aspects of IT capital planning; overseeing the development of the agency’s IT business cases and IT portfolio; implementing Earned Value Management and other program management best practices and processes; and representing the agency at the Department of Transportation in all areas of IT capital planning and investment control.
Carnaroli also worked in the FAA’s Office of Aviation Policy and Plans, where he was responsible for aircraft certification regulation. In addition to his government career, he worked as an air transport management consultant.
Carnaroli graduated summa cum laude in agricultural economics from North Carolina State University, earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Maryland at College Park, and a master’s degree in security management from The George Washington University.

Sorry to disturbe iu again, but I have a mistery regarding my roots, my great-great grand dad PIETRO had been there USA with my great grand dad PIERMARIA and I lost the two oldest sons of Piermaria : GIOVANNI (1881 born in Sorbolongo-Sant’Ippolito) & BIAGIO (1883). The other 3 sons of Piermaria they had been in Milford Mass: only one was a resident as an american citizen : SETTIMIO, the other two Domenico (went back to France) and my grand dad ABRAMO (went back to Italy).
I’ld like to know the name of your dad and grand dad…….may be you have the name of my grand oncle Giovanni coming from Sant’Ippolito, can you please let me know if we have some realtion ?
We had a Great cousinade in FRANCE 2 weeks ago and our cousins from Hopedale come to join all the CARNAROLI’s
last Carnaroli of Settimio : ALBERTO died last feb 2011
