Joe Rose is the Department of Education’s chief enterprise architect. In this role, Rose has created and developed the department’s Enterprise Architecture (EA) program. Under his supervision, DOE established an effective EA governance structure, comprehensive future state vision, and an actionable enterprise-wide Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) strategy.
Prior to his current position, Rose served as chief technology officer at the National Center for Education Statistics, where he led the development of Internet-based systems and services for data collection and publication. Before joining NCES, Rose held an IT position at the Census Bureau.
Rose is a graduate of University of Maryland College Park.
