The Department of Homeland Security Secretary, Janet Napolitano, met with stakeholders last Friday, March 19, to talk about immigration reform. The goal was to work together to make steps towards creating a new and improved system.Involved in the meeting were members of Congress, representatives from the faith community, law enforcement, business and labor and advocacy groups. Napolitano encouraged individuals to offer input and suggestions as well as stressing the need for collaboration between the Department of Homeland Security and immigration stakeholders.
In Napolitano’s speech back in December highlighting the accomplishments of DHS she mentioned, “We took unprecedented steps in the interior to enforce immigration laws and improve legal immigration services and benefits that we provide to millions of lawful immigrants every year.â€
However, on Friday she said the immigration system is still broken and has been ignored for far too long. Going forward, Napolitano will work with Obama, Senators Graham and Schumer, other Congressional partners, and stakeholders to create a new immigration system.
Napolitano’s picture should be in Webster’s dictionary next to dereliction of duty. What a disgrace she is to not only her job, but also to this country. The blood of every American killed or harmed by an illegal alien is on her hands.
The 20-million have nothing in common with immigrants who came through Ellis Island. Firstly, the 20 million are not “immigrants.”
The second thing Chuck Schumer gets wrong is the rosy picture he paints of Ellis Island immigrants.
They were miserable once they got here. They were crowded into places like the Lower East Side and Hell’s Kitchen because the City of New York was wholly incapable of dealing with the overpopulation problems they caused.
Allowing so many in at once was a huge mistake and they and the natives suffered greatly for it.
We see these same problems cropping up wherever the illegal goes. Small towns are being overrun and ghettorized; large towns are becoming infested with gangs and their schools, health clinics, infrastructure are undergoing massive erosion as anyone with a brain would expect when the population is doubled, tripled, quadrupled unabated.
Chuck Schumer is blissfully unaware of these problems and that’s because Chuck Schumer would rather not know about them.
There are six billion people in the world, five billion of whom live in grinding poverty and oppression.
What fellows like Chuck “the more the merrier” Schumer never tell us is at what point do we say, “Enough”?

La Raza argues we didn’t do anything about the invasion, but every time we raid a factory filled with illegals La Raza is the first person to scream “Foul!”
But in reflection, La Raza has a point: we’ve neglected enforcement for far too long.
Another piece of rhetoric La Raza gets wrong is when they say it would be impossible or too expensive to round-up and deport the 20 million.
Not so.
Eisenhower rounded up 1.5 million of them in 1954 using the limited technology of the time.
Look, this is not rocket science: the illegal flouts our laws, he thumbs his nose at them and is telling us if we don’t change them to his tastes he won’t obey them either and there ain’t diddly squat we can do about it.
Schumer’s immigration bill is exactly what they want. It’s a capitulation. It sends a message to low-life everywhere we’re weak, that we and don’t have the backbone and resolve to enforce our laws.
Schumer’s bill guarantees the problem will double, triple, and quadruple.
Schumer’s bill passes the buck to our children and grandchildren.
Schumer’s bill is an admission of defeat.
It fits our needs perfectly the advantage of immigration reform on the country: Greater supply of unskilled workers, a younger workforce, and skilled workers in needed sectors. But there is also a disadvantage of immigration reform like Greater poverty, more educational cost, lower unskilled wage levels, and increased danger of terrorism. Thanks to the post!
