The General Services Administration Office of Citizen Services and Innovative Technologies has announced a new addition to one of the agency’s top technology and policy shops.

GSA wooed Kathy Conrad, formerly a senior vice president for Jefferson Consulting, a federal business development firm, to the office’s new principal deputy associate administrator, according to a Federal Computer Week post.

“Kathy Conrad is a great addition to the GSA leadership team as we work to identify and apply new technologies to make government operations more effective and create excellence in customer service,” said Dave McClure, associate administrator of the innovative technologies office.

Conrad and McClure have a history together. According to FCW, they were both co-chairs of the American Council for Technology/Industry Advisory Council’s Executive Leadership Conference.

“This job and office represent an amalgam of the issues I have been committed to — including promoting government IT as an enabler, not as an end in itself,” Conrad told Federal Computer Week.

  1. Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with a few pics to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is excellent blog. An excellent read. I will definitely be back.
