The Office of Personnel Management is transitioning its USAJOBS employment search portal to version 3.0, the agency announced Friday.

USAJOBS 3.0 is scheduled to roll out between Oct. 6-12. Search and apply functions will be offline during the transition period.

Daily transition activities status updates and general employment information will still be available during the transition period.

The new USAJOBS will no longer ask users to provide their social security number, leaving the hiring agency with that responsibility.

Users will be able to identify job announcements they are eligible to apply for by correctly answering questions, such as military service or previous federal employment, about themselves.

  1. If you look at OPM’s “full list of changes,” it looks like it’s not changing at all. What’s up?
