GSA Brings Over HUD CTO Mark Day to Oversee Acquisitions

The General Services Administration is welcoming a new director of strategic solutions, Mark Day, currently the chief technology officer at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, according to a Federal Computer Week report.

Starting Nov. 21, Day will oversee the government-wide acquisition program as well as the Center for Strategic Solutions and Security Services.

Before his position with HUD, Day was the CTO and deputy chief information officer at the Environmental Protection Agency. Additionally, he was CTO and vice president at McDonald Bradley, later bought by ManTech in 2007.

Currently, Day is an adjunct professor for Information Management at George Mason University and has also won the Federal 100 award twice.
