The Department of Veterans Affairs is preparing to debut its own version of USAJobs to launch Nov. 11 that will display job opportunities in the department, “VA for Vets.”

The website has an online job search board, self-assessment tools, a resume builder and military skills translator to assist veterans in both identifying and applying jobs matching their specific skill sets and experience.

The website currently lists 3,553 jobs, all of which appear to be positions with the VA, according to Federal Computer Week. USAJobs currently displays some 12,000  jobs across differing agencies.

The site is currently in the pilot status and, according to a bulletin post, is only open for limited access in so far. The site was introduced by VA Secretary Eric Shinseki where he wrote in an introduction to the new website, saying:

“As part of the VA’s commitment to hiring and retaining veteran employees—and in support of the president’s pledge to bring more veterans into civil service—I am pleased to introduce our new career support program: VA for Vets.”
