The General Services Administration has awarded Concur Technologies Inc. a potential 15-year contract to operate an updated online travel service for the federal government, the agency announced Monday.

E-Gov Travel Service is a cloud computing-based service that more than 90 agencies use for online travel booking and tracking expenses.

Version one of the ETS system increased the government’s use online travel services to 63 percent and generated $20 million in annual savings, the agency said.

Version two will go live before the end of the year, according to GSA.

Concur will initiate travel planning, endorsement, reservation, ticketing accomplishment, cost reimbursement and travel management reporting.

Last summer, GSA announced that traveling federal employees have a mobile app to view reimbursement rates.
