The Air Force Personnel Center has given eligible active-duty airmen an extension to submit their retirement or separation applications, the Air Force Personnel Center for Public Affairs announced. AFPC retirements and separations branch chief Lt. Col. Tara White said the extension will guarantee approved airmen with a date of separation before December.
Approved airmen of this year’s round of retirement/separation application may leave the service by December 1, 2013, January 1, 2014 or February 1, 2014.
Tech. Sgt. Steve Grever wrote that the Air Force is moving its Military Personnel Data System into the  Defense Information Systems Agency‘s Defense Enterprise Computing Center in December.
The new deadline for retirement/separation application is November 16.
