Henry Sienkiewicz, chief information officer at the Defense Information Systems Agency, has been appointed the agency’s vice chief executive for information assurance.

In a Tuesday release, the Pentagon announced David Bennett will succeed Sienkiewicz as CIO.

This announcement comes nine months after Air Force Lt. Gen. Ronnie Hawkins became director of the agency in January, succeeding Army Lt. Gen. Carroll F. Pollett, who had served as director since 2008.

Sienkiewicz joined the Senior Executive Service in 2008 as DISA’s technical program director for computing services, where he focused on technical standardization and development of the agency’s cloud computing environment.

According to Fedscoop, Bennett previously served as DISA’s deputy program executive officer for global information grid enterprise services and was the deputy CEO for C2C at DISA.

He has also been program manager for global command and control systems at DISA.
