Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas) was selected to chair the Homeland Security Committee, Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Texas) for the Science Committee and Rep. Ed Royce (R-Calif.) was named chair for the Foreign Affairs panel.
Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) will become the new Judiciary Committee chairman; Rep. Bill Shuster (R-Pa.) will lead the Transportation Committee and Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas) will head the Financial Services Committee.
Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) will likely stay on in his current post after receiving a waiver to continue past his six-year term.
The chairman posts for the Ethics and House Administration committees have yet to be decided, according to the report.
