Of the 203 surveyed information technology leaders, 39 percent listed mobility as a high priority for their agencies, with big data following at 27 percent and cloud computing next at 26 percent.

While 63 percent of respondents believe an integrated approach to implementing new technologies would benefit the government, survey authors wrote implementation is unlikely to happen because of the austere budget environment.
The report also found that 52 percent of respondents expect to use a shared cloud computing environment, 75 percent said a secured cloud environment is feasible and 69 percent think mobile device management is primarily about device security.
