The Senate Finance Committee will have three new Republican members and two new Democrat members on the panel for the new session of Congress, Reuters reports.

Patrick Temple-West writes the new Republican members are Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, Johnny Isakson of Georgia and Rob Portman of Ohio.

Sherrod Brown of Ohio and Michael Bennet of Colorado are the new members from the Democratic party, according to the report.

If Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) becomes secretary of state, the committee could have another new member, Temple-West reports.

The Max Baucus-chaired (D-Mont.) has 13 Democrats and 11 Republicans, the report said.

As part of the larger shift in committee memberships and leaderships, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) will chair the Veterans Affairs Committee.
