DARPA Seeks Private Sector Cyber Professionals

CyberStockThe Pentagon is looking for private sector professionals who can work to help the federal government administer and protect its cyber infrastructure, Nextgov reported Monday.

Aliya Sternstein writes the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has requested company workforce data including cyber experience,clearance level and a narrative describing employee skills.

DARPA also wants information on a vendor’s infrastructure that could be used for building cyber operations systems in order to respond to threats, according to the report.

DARPA wants potential candidates to either hold security clearances for sensitive projects or be eligible to obtain capacity-based clearances.

Officials are also seeking resources for storing and processing classified information, Nextgov reports.

Sternstein writes interested companies can submit the required information until March 2015.
