Inmarsat names Satcom Direct Communications ‘Value Added Reseller’ for Global Xpress

Global-Xpress-Maritime(INMARSAT)—Military aviation service provider Satcom Direct Communications (SDC) will provide network services to the U.S. government, as appointed as a Value Added Reseller for Global Xpress by Inmarsat, the global mobile satellite communications services provider to the aeronautical market sector.

“SDC is honored to be a partner of Inmarsat and to showcase Global Xpress and its benefits to the U.S. government,” said Satcom Direct president David Greenhill. “Global Xpress is an ideal solution for those who must have reliable communications in support of mission critical operations in the most challenging environments.”

An Inmarsat partner since ’97, Global Xpress is the world’s first globally-available, subscription service-oriented mobile broadband satellite network, targeting those seeking connectivity and mobility within the demographic of military, first responders and government agencies.

The first Global Xpress satellite, the Inmarsat-5 F1, was launched on the tail-end 2013 and is scheduled to reenter the commercial atmosphere later this year.
