Report: Larry Zelvin to Leave DHS Next Month

Larry-ZelvinLarry Zelvin is set to depart his role as director of the Department of Homeland Security‘s national cybersecurity and communications integration center in mid-August, FCW reported Tuesday.

Sean Lyngaas writes that Zelvin has managed the NCCIC since June 2012 and testified at several congressional hearings about cyber issues facing the U.S.

Zelvin has called on lawmakers to pass legislation that would clarify DHS’ decision-making authority in cybersecurity, according to FCW.

The retired Navy captain previously served as director of incident management at the White House National Security Staff.
