Ann Dunkin, formerly a senior adviser to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency administrator, has assumed the chief information officer role Monday, Fedscoop reported Monday.

Dunkin is also President Barack Obama’s nominee to be assistant administrator for environmental information and awaits confirmation by the Senate, according to the station.

She served as a chief technology officer and a director of technology at the Palo Alto Unified School District before she joined EPA in August 2014.

Dunkin is also a 10-year veteran of Hewlett-Packard, where she worked as a software quality manager and later directed the company’s research and development and information technology operations.
