Greg Giddens Named VA Executive Director for Acquisition, Logistics and Construction

Veterans Affairs Department logoGreg Giddens, formerly executive director of enterprise project management at the Department of Veterans Affairs’ , has been appointed executive director of VA’s office of acquisition, logistics and construction, Federal News Radio reported Monday.

Jason Miller writes Giddens will succeed Glenn Haggstrom, who retired on March 25.

Giddens previously oversaw the Department of Homeland Security’s Secure Border Initiative program for three years before he joined the VA, according to the report.

He also served as director for the Defense Department’s acquisition personnel demonstration project, program manager for the U.S. Air Force’s weather weapon system, deputy assistant commandant for U.S. Coast Guard acquisition and deputy program executive officer for the integrated deepwater system, the station reports.
