1 min read

cyberThe Department of Homeland Security is soliciting public feedback on a plan to establish privately led information sharing and analysis organizations to voluntarily submit cyber-related threat information to the federal government.

DHS said Wednesday the White House ordered the agency to facilitate exchange of cybersecurity risks and incidents between government and industry through ISAOs.

The department asked for input on what policies an ISAO should implement to protect confidential data and maintain the trust of other participants in the initiative.

It also seeks information about technologies that can help the organizations to receive, analyze, store and share threat intelligence.

The public comment period will be open through July 10.
