Margie Graves, Michael Hermus Take C-Level Roles at DHS; Luke McCormack Comments

DHS - ExecutiveMosaicThe Department of Homeland Security has appointed Margie Graves and Michael Hermus to c-level positions at the agency.

Luke McCormack, DHS’ chief information officer, announced Thursday that Graves has been named principal deputy CIO for strategy, governance and transformation.

“Margie has a wealth of institutional knowledge and the skills and expertise to lead the organization through the changes that are coming in the [information technology] community at large,” McCormack said.

Margie will oversee various areas within the department such as strategy and governance, service broker and catalogue management, vendor management, business management operations, design and engineering, information sharing and cybersecurity.

Hermus also will serve as the new chief technology officer, with responsibility in the development of IT and standards throughout DHS.

The DHS has also formed a new deputy CIO role whose function is to oversee IT operations and service delivery.
