DHS Demos ECaTS Public Safety Analytics Tool; Christopher Duxler Comments

DHS - ExecutiveMosaicThe Department of Homeland Security has demonstrated an ECaTS-developed public safety analytics tool at the APCO 2015 event in California.

DHS said Monday it exhibited how the ECaTS dashboard assists federal and state agencies in analyzing, monitoring and responding to threats.

“It’s an exciting time for public safety, as it’s now possible to use real-time monitoring and analytics to improve coordination of multiple government agencies to provide better services to the public,” said Christopher Duxler, ECaTS operations director.

“ECaTS is privileged to be part of the ongoing exploration of Federal and State coordination that our platform can offer and we look forward to the next phase of the project,” Duxler added.

The tool is designed to help users view both DHS and the California Office of Emergency Services’ 911 environment, wireless carrier towers and 911 call volumes.
