National Transportation Safety Board Seeks New CIO

JobAdThe National Transportation Safety Board has launched its search for a new chief information officer.

NTSB said in a USAJobs notice posted Friday the chosen candidate will oversee information resource management and information technology programs at the agency.

The CIO role is a Senior Executive Service position and will serve as a key adviser to the agency’s managing director, chairman and other senior executives with regard to all IT initiatives at NTSB.

The new CIO, who will be based in Washington, will lead a group of IT professionals to implement IT initiatives and will work to facilitate access to data resources.

The selected candidate will also support engineering, research and development programs that seek to improve customer service and agency operations through IT platforms, team up with program executives on IT efforts that aim to achieve process improvements, and promote compliance with IT security requirements and regulations.

NTSB will accept applications for the position through Oct. 19.
