Beth Killoran has been appointed acting chief information officer and interim deputy assistant secretary for information technology at the Department of Health and Human Services, Fedscoop reported Wednesday.
Billy Mitchell writes Killoranâs appointment follows Frank Baitman’s resignation from his post as HHS CIO in November to explore other professional opportunities.
Killoran will continue to serve as acting deputy CIO and executive director at the departmentâs office of IT strategy, policy and governance, according to the report.
She previously worked at the Department of Homeland Security for more than a decade and held senior IT roles at DHS agencies such as the Customs and Border Protection and Citizenship and Immigration Services.
