GSA to Host Web Manager University’s Government Web & New Media Conference

bildeNext Tuesday and Wednesday, April 27-28, GSA is hosting its 7th annual Web Manager University’s Government Web and New Media Conference. The focus of the conference is “Open Government: Why it Matters and How It Can Help Us Deliver Excellent Customer Service.”

Speakers will include Martha Johnson, Administrator of GSA, Vivek Kundra, Federal CIO, David McClure, GSA Associate Administrator, and Macon Phillips, Special Assistant to the President and Director of New Media at the White House.

The event will also feature executives from private sector companies such as Chris Bruzzo, Starbucks Coffee Vice President, and Craig Newmark, the founder of Craigslist.org.

The two-day conference will be held at the Renaissance Hotel on 999 Ninth St. NW, Washington D.C. The conference kicks off at 8:45 am on April 27, 2010 with an address from Martha Johnson.
