New Pentagon CIO

TeriTakaiImageTeresa Takai will be the new Pentagon CIO. President Obama announced his intent to nominate Teresa Takai as CIO of the Pentagon on March 29, 2010.

Takai will be leaving her post as CIO of California to take on this new role. Prior to her position as CIO of California she was the Director of Michigan Department of Information Technology as well as Michigan’s CIO.

Regarding Takai and other nominees Obama said, “It gives me great confidence that such talented individuals have chosen to join my administration as we confront the challenges facing our nation. I look forward to working with them for years to come.”
