1 min read

nasaapp1Interested in NASA and have a smartphone? Then you will be able to access all the latest information, images and videos from the space agency.

The newly updated app features four different screens: The missions home screen, which displays all current NASA missions in a table view; the images home screen, which has three image gallery options; the video home screen, which allows the user to browse, select and watch videos posted to YouTube by NASA; and the updates home screen, which shows updates from various NASA Twitter feeds.

Some of the changes from the first version of the app include visible sighting opportunities listed for the International Space Station and Space Shuttle; detailed mission information and more content; and status updates on upcoming launches. Users will also find improved videos and updates panels, a “center” button for the orbital tracking feature, and an integrated Twitter client.

The NASA App can be found on USA.gov along with 17 other government-related apps. It can also be downloaded for free from the App Store from Apple directly on iPhone and/or iPod Touch, or within iTunes.
