Ordinarily, job seekers browse job site Monster.com to search for the latest job postings. Now, they can use it to give the White House a piece of their minds.
And with the unemployment rate mired in the mud at 9.6 percent, it’s likely that more than a few people would like to ask some questions and share their opinions.
Beginning Nov. 8 through Nov. 14, Monster.com and the White House have invited job seekers to post their thoughts on Monster’s Facebook page.
According to Monster’s website, the postings will allow users to ask about the administration’s recovery efforts and also share ideas and insights.
The administration will answer some of the questions submitted by Facebook users and job seekers and selected by Monster, according to the White House blog.
The White House has touted the recent gains in economic growth, but also notes the “terribly slow†feel to the pace of recovery, “especially to someone out of work – and it’s clear more needs to be done.â€
According to The Hill, Monster.com CEO Sal Iannuzzi is no stranger to the White House. He participated in a jobs forum there last year.
