White House Chief Technology Officer Aneesh Chopra will travel to the West Coast for ConnectivityWeek, a series of workshops and panels Silicon Valley BizBlog called a “who’s who” in smart-grid technology and deployment.

The event, spanning four days and some 250 speakers, will also feature representatives from Silicon Valley giants such as Intel and Cisco.

“We’ll have around 25 to 30 exhibitors this year that represent cutting-edge technologies from smart meters to the software, chip, security and automation companies that are enabling our cleaner energy future,” said event founder and Clasma Events Inc. CEO Anto Budiardjo, according to The San Jose Business Journal.

Chopra has been a high-profile administration advocate and champion of smart-grid technologies, meeting with private-sector execs and holding public roundtables on the issue.
