Know about government fraud? The Government Accountability Office wants to talk to you. The agency is encouraging individuals with information on fraud and abuse within the Federal Employees Compensation Act to speak up. The agency is assuring those who come forward with information complete anonymity.

In a press release on GAO’s website, the agency said it was looking for information on cases in which federal employees are currently abusing workers compensation benefit. It cites examples of abuse that include overstating a workers compensation claim, collecting benefits from a deceased individual or a beneficiary working a second job.

Those with that information are encouraged to contact workerscompfraud@gao.gov.
