NASA, recently ranked the most innovative federal agency, now has another trick up their sleeve.
Scientists and media specialists announced a new iPad app, the NASA Visualization Explorer, at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md. This is NASAâs second app for the iPad.
The new app allows users to view Earth science research information and features both still images and video.
Other features include the ability to share links to Facebook or Twitter and interviews with scientists. NASA produced six science features for the appâs launch and plans to develop two new science features per week.
“Its one-of-a-kind content is geared to the general public, students, educators — “anyone interested in the natural world,” said Michael Starobin, a senior producer at Goddard who spearheaded the app’s editorial direction.
The application is free to the public.
