Two public officials were honored Tuesday night for their contributions to the government contracting sector at the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards, presented by the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, the Professional Services Council and Washington Technology.

Dan Gordon, administrator of the Office of Federal Procurement Policy, and Michelle Foster, deputy director of the Tactical Operations Center at the Department of Veterans Affairs, were presented Public Sector Partner of the Year awards in Tysons Corner, Va.

“We applaud each of the winners for their contributions to the government contracting sector and our region,” said Chamber President and CEO Jim Corcoran.

“We should all be proud of what those honored tonight have achieved in helping our government colleagues efficiently and effectively meet their myriad missions at home and abroad.” said PSC President and CEO Stan Soloway. “These partnerships will become all the more critical as we rise to meet the nation’s almost unprecedented budgetary and security challenges.”
