The Department of Homeland Security‘s 2013 budget proposal includes a $33 million increase to continue work on the new St. Elizabeths headquarters project.
The $33 million increase would bring the project’s funding to $89 million for 2013, according to the budget document.
The agency said the 2013 funds would go toward toward infrastructure improvement at the West Campus of St. Elizabeths.
DHS said it will start using the campus in spring 2013 and plans to bring 40 agencies to St. Elizabeths.
Contractors supporting DHS’ relocation include:
- Northrop Grumman will lead the $2.63 billion infrastructure project
- General Dynamics will develop integrated network infrastructure on a seven-year $876 million task order
- Dell-owned Perot systems will provide enterprise-wide support services on a $92 million blanket purchase agreement
- SAIC Inc. was recently subcontracted by General Dynamics to integrate and implement information technology infrastructure
- CACI International
- IBM
- Lockheed Martin
- L-3 Communications
- Serco
