TechAmerica Selects Osborne as President, CEO

TechAmerica has appointed Shawn Osborne president and CEO, the trade association announced Tuesday.

Osborne succeeds Phil Bond, who held both positions for more than five years.

The Washington-based trade association has more than 1,000 member companies and maintains advocacy programs in all 50 states.

Osborne is a 20-year private sector veteran who spent 14 years at telecommunications provider Ulticom Inc. and most recently served as president, CEO and director.

Osborne led Ulticom to a public offering on the NASDAQ market, where the company was recognized as the fourth best performing technology IPO of the year.

Osborne has held several positions on the board of the Telecommunications Industry Association (by Debra ), including service as board chairman.
