Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe announced Monday that Chief Information Officer Ellis Burgoyne will not return to work fulltime by October due to a serious health issue, Federal Times reports.Donahoe also announced a series of shifts in the agency’s executive ranks until Burgoyne returns.
Chief Financial Officer Joe Corbett will take on the CIO role on an interim basis and Steve Masse will fill in for Corbett as acting CFO.
Masse previously served as vice president for finance and operations.
Cynthia Sanchez-Hernandez, headquarters finance manager, will fill Masse’s position.
Last week, the Energy Department promoted acting CIO Robert Brese to the permanent CIO role.
