Eric Spiegel, CEOs Meet with Obama Over Private Sector Cyber Threats

BudgetGlassesPresident Obama met with several chief executive officers March 13 to discuss cybersecurity threats facing the country’s private sector.

In an interview for Fox Business‘ Cyber Threat series, Siemens CEO Eric Spiegel said “business and government realized and agreed that we need to continue to work together to resolve some of these issues” and said there is “no misalignment” between the government and CEOs cyber goals.

The group discussed cybersecurity legislation that could balance that would increase protection, while retaining flexibility for innovation, while going over current policies and threat observations.
