Anne Rung, chief acquisition officer at the U.S. General Services Administration, has been named associate administrator for the agency’s office of governmentwide policy, Federal News Radio reported Thursday.

Jason Miller writes acting GSA Administrator Dan Tangherlini told employees in an email Rung succeeds 11-year agency veteran Kathleen Turco, who will serve as the Veterans Health Administration‘s chief financial officer as of Sunday.

Rung will continue to serve as CAO and has held that post since April, Tangherlini said in the email obtained by the station.

She previously served as senior director of administration at the Commerce Department and led acquisitions reform and other management initiatives.

Tangherlini also announced former GSA communications director Betsaida Alcantara was promoted to associate administrator for the office of communications and marketing, Miller reports.
