GSA Picks Falls Church for New Fish and Wildlife Service HQ

1 min read

ContractSigningThe General Services Administration has finalized a 15-year lease agreement to locate the Fish and Wildlife Service at a new headquarters in Falls Church, Va., the Washington Business Journal reported Thursday.

Daniel Sernovitz writes FWS will move to a 183,000-square-foot office space at the Seven Skyline Place property in summer 2014 from its current three-building HQ in Ballston.

Vornado Realty Trust owns the property, which saw increased vacancies as a result of the Pentagon’s 2005 Base and Realignment Closure round.

GSA intends to generate more than $3.8 million in savings under the agreement, according to the report.

Sernovitz reports reports GSA’s Larry Sutton served as the contracting officer and CBRE Group and Urban Development Ventures represented GSA in the transaction.
