Michael Flynn: Military Leaders Eye Cyberspace, Intell Integration

CyberStockThe Defense Intelligence Agency‘s top official said Wednesday that U.S. military leaders are studying how to make best use of cyberspace and intelligence in tactical missions, FCW reported Thursday.

Amber Corrin writes Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn told audience at a Brooking Institution event in Washington that cyber intelligence is an integral part of efforts to safeguard infrastructures.

“It’s important that we leverage the technology in a smart way to understand what it is that’s happening at the [tactical] edge and make, to a degree, the edge the center,” Flynn said, according to the report.

He also said that private enterprises should take an active role in protecting the nation’s critical assets, Corrin writes.
