David Sling Weapon SystemThe Israel Missile Defense Organization and the U.S. Missile Defense Agency have jointly tested a weapon system designed to intercept ballistic missile threats.

The David’s Sling Weapon System’s radar worked to detect a ballistic missile and send flight data to the control system before the Stunner interceptor destroyed the target, the MDA said Wednesday.

The David’s Sling Weapon System is built to counter ballistic missiles for the joint U.S.-Israel Arrow Weapon System and to add interception capabilities for the state of Israel.
