D.C. Govt Seeks to Improve Mobile Device Mgmt at Local Agencies

HTCphoneA case study has indicated that Washington, D.C.’s mobile device management initiative has helped boost productivity and efficiency inside the city’s agencies, GCN reported Monday.

Good Technology worked to analyze Good for Government program, a collaboration between the D.C. government and the mobile security firm, the article states.

GCN reports Good Technology’s research found that the number of wireless messaging system users in the district increased from 300 to 2,250 in past three years through the program.

Also, the initiative enabled agency workers to access emails, contacts and calendars using mobile devices, according to the case study obtained by GCN.
