MemSQL’s Carl Wright: Civilian Agencies Should Adopt Next-Gen IT Infrastructure

supercomputerCarl Wright, executive vice president of in-memory SQL database specialist MemSQL, says federal agencies should adopt new information technology platforms for data analysis in real-time in order to speed up public service delivery, FCW reported Wednesday.

According to Frank Konkel’s story, Wright said intelligence and defense agencies use real-time systems data analysis to administer daily operations and special missions, adding civilian agencies could benefit from the tools as well.

Wright added that adopting next-generation IT infrastructure is meant to cut down processing time of data in order to improve decision making for areas such as disease control and fraud detection.

“You have the ability to use every core and server to facilitate a load, so it creates a true high-performance computing environment,” Wright told FCW.
