Report: China Begins Construction of Second Aircraft Carrier, Two More Planned

DroneLaunchCarrierChina has begun building its second aircraft carrier, Agence France-Presse reported Sunday.

Construction of the carrier in the northeastern port of Dalian will take six years, the report says.

Wang Min, Communist Party chief for Dalian’s Liaoning province, told reporters the country is planning to develop two more ships, according to the article.

China completed the construction of its first aircraft carrier, Liaoning, in September 2012, AFP reports.
