Intel to Host 3 ‘Hackathon’ Events in Support of a White House Initiative

Computer-EngineeringIntel Corp. will host three “hackathon” events as part of efforts to help further the government’s climate data initiative.

The company and its local partners plan to sponsor engineering and computer science students who will collaborate to build software applications for analyzing climate change-related data, Intel said Wednesday.

The events will be held near the Chesapeake Bay, in New Orleans and San Jose.
