Senate Confirms DHS Nominees Reggie Brothers, Frank Taylor

US department of homeland securityDr. Reggie Brothers has received Senate confirmation to serve as undersecretary for science and technology at the Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Today reported Monday.

The Senate also confirmed Frank Taylor as undersecretary for intelligence and analysis at the DHS, according to the report.

Brothers most recently served as the deputy assistant defense secretary for research and he also chaired the Defense Department‘s science and technology executive council.

Taylor previously held the positions of U.S. coordinator for counterterrorism and assistant secretary of state for diplomatic security.

He retired from the Air Force with the rank of brigadier general.
