Daphne Falletti: Rep. Doug Lamborn Visited UTC Aerospace Systems Interiors Business

F-16Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-Colo.) recently made a tour of United Technologies’ interiors business unit within the aerospace systems segment in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The interiors business unit develops seating products such as the ACES II ejection seat system that is being used for the U.S. Air Force’s F-15, F-16, F-22, A-10, B-1 and B-2 aircraft, UTC said Wednesday.

“We’re very committed to our operations in Colorado Springs and delighted that Rep. Lamborn wanted to take the opportunity to come by and learn first-hand about innovations in the ACES 5 ejection seat that will save lives,” said Daphne Falletti, UTC president of interiors.

UTC executives updated Rep. Lamborn on the interiors business’ global operations and provided an overview of the company’s production operations.

Rep. Lamborn backed a House-approved legislation to qualify the ACES 5 ejection seat for Air Force applications.
