DoD Nominees to Appear before SASC

us senateThe Senate Armed Services Committee is holding a confirmation hearing in the Hart Senate Office Building today at 9:30 a.m. to consider five nominees for positions within the Department of Defense.

The nominees appearing before SASC include Laura Junor, to be principal deputy undersecretary of defense for personnel and readiness; Gordon Tanner, to be on the Air Force general counsel; Debra Wada, to be assistant secretary of the Army for manpower and reserve affairs; Miranda Ballentine to be assistant secretary of the Air Force for installations, environment and energy; Monica Regalbuto to be assistant secretary of energy for environmental management.

Additionally present will be: Mark Andress, the Pentagon’s assistant deputy chief of operations for information dominance; Vice Adm. Paul Grosklags, principal military deputy to the assistant secretary of the Navy for research, development and acquisitions; Brig. Gen. Joseph Guastella, director of the Pentagon’s Joint Requirements Oversight Council; Robert Martinage of the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments; and Ronald O’Rourke of the Congressional Research Service.
