Donald Trump will rent the old Post Office building for $250,000 per month under a 60-year lease agreement with the General Services Administration, the Washington Post reported Friday.Jonathan O’Connell writes Trump and his daughter Ivanka plan to convert the Pennsylvania Avenue property into a 271-room hotel that is set to open in 2016.
The National Park Service will operate the hotel, according to the report.
GSA has been moving the tenants from the building since it closed on May 1, the Post reports.
O’Connell writes Trump also plans to replace the building’s heating, cooling and electrical systems.
