DARPA Requests Wideband RF Comm Tech Proposals

1 min read

DARPAThe Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency will gather ideas from industry on how to develop a jam-resistant communications system with bandwidth greater than 10 gigahertz.

DARPA said Friday that it seeks proposals for creating a radio frequency communications technology that would feature large coding gains, wide instantaneous-bandwidth waveforms and spectral filters to avoid interference.

The program is designed to explore signal processing techniques, channel propagation effects and spectrum regulation.

DARPA also wants to build new receiver architectures for handheld radio applications using commercial technology through the project, according to the agency’s FedBizOpps post.
