Deltek: GSA to Unveil Alliant II Solicitations By FY 2016’s End

digital governmentDeltek expects the General Services Administration to release solicitations for the Alliant II and Alliant Small Business II governmentwide contract vehicles before the end of fiscal year 2016, Federal Times reported June 20.

Jennifer Sakole, a Deltek principal analyst, writes that information technology vendors should join a GSA-operated online community to help shape future IT acquisition contracts.

She advised contractors to review Alliant GWAC orders or customers while waiting for the next set of contracts and evaluate whether the IT program should be a part of their organizations’ federal business growth plan.

The existing Alliant contracts will run through 2019 and federal agencies have collectively spent more than $8 billion on IT products and services through the vehicle since fiscal 2009, according to Sakole.

Sakole writes that Alliant GWAC users will include the departments of Defense, State, Justice and Energy.
